compression bump no retune
compression bump no retune I just bought a 2004 silverado 2500hd with an lq4. Lots of broken bolts on the exhaust manifolds. Passenger side has 2 left....
Will the stock tune be ok with a set of 243s on it until the turbo goes on? I will do ls9 gaskets and studs also.
I have removed plenty of broken bolts out of aluminum heads, but the heads were on the bench.

Got it done yesterday. Seems to run better, but that's probably because I don't hear the massive exhaust leaks everytime I give it a little throttle. And the p0300 and whatever the 02 code was has not come back. Put in alper studs, and one was wrong. So have a stock reused bolt back in torqued to 50.....Emailed alper, hoping to hear back soon.
Anyways, filled up with 87 this morning and no pinging. Not driving it hard or anything.
