ECU/Timing issue

ECU/Timing issue 4th gen 4.8 converted to 24x/1x trigger wheels and 2000 ecu(red and blue). I am running the crank trigger wheel externally. I'll try to post a picture. Anyways I finally got it running right after chasing wiring issues. Everything is correct now. Ecu is NOT throwing any codes. Now the issue?? I hook up my
scanner and I'm guessing the ecu is going into a "limp" mode where it sets the timing at 22-27 degrees advanced at IDLE. Half throttle is jumps up above 50 advanced and i think that could be dangerous so before I go drive it and roast tires I want to check with anyone that knows about this kind of stuff. Also, I am able to clock my car and trigger wheel but no matter how much I turn it back or forth it idled at 22-27 advanced. Can this be tuned out? What should I do/check? Like I said car has no problems starting or running. Help???
