Why would a tech 2 abort an evap test?
Because the tech2 software is old as dirt, GM could have developed the GDS to go back til 1996 but were lazy and didnt. Ford did it with the WDS and again with the IDS. Sorry i had to rant.
The only evap test i know of is the purge seal test? Maybe i havent looked in the right place. Theres other test that check the function of each valve but i usually use the purge seal test. If the FTP vacuum gets to a certain level it will abort the test. I usually pull it down to about .30 volts then seal the system and see if it leaks. It will go up some from gas vapor expanding, as long as it doesnt go way up in a few secs it should be fine
