Arrow Product Review - Launch CReader OBDII Scanner

I recently picked up another 4th gen F-body, and it had a check engine SES light shown. I figured it was time to upgrade to a nicer OBD2 scanner, since my old one was several years old and only gave out the PO error codes. I still had to look them up with my service manual once I had the code.

I found this Launch C-Reader OBD2 scanner on Amazon, and noticed that is also has ABS brake code reading capabilities. One of the least expensive units on the market with that capability, also. Has a nice color screen with good resolution, and all of the codes are shown in full text form. I ordered it on Amazon here:

Here is how the kit looked, scanner had a nice quality feel to it.

Code was related to the crank position sensor. It was intermittent.

This scanner also has a lot of real-time monitoring data, would be useful for tuning.

Overall, it had a lot of features for the small price. It makes a nice addition to any toolbox, as it works on all of my vehicles.

Nice, I was actually considering buying a new OBD2 scanner and was eyeing the 6001 model. Cant decide if I need the abs and srs system reader, or oil reset etc..
