There is a whole thread in here just on this. If your not planning on running boost than there are several you can choose from. Any 2002-2004 5.3 Avalance,Tahoe, Silverado, Suburban will work. If you want to run 3 bar boost, then you need this:

on car-parts,com i see this number #12586243, and it listed them on tahoes, corvettes and s-10, but what about the hardware (Hwd) number don't understand where you getting this, they don't list that number and in one thing i read you said something about tahoe os, whats that about.

The ecm I have in my truck currently is a 2002 Tahoe 5.3 flex fuel. It is cable driven, but only has a 4l60E trans setup available and as far as boost goes, it only has a 2 bar enhancement available. I plan on swapping to a 80E and more boost than that, so I am swapping to the 2004 Express Van ecm. I will have to re pin my ecm from red/blue to blue/green, as well as the trans, but then I will have a 3 bar enhancement with flex fuel.

Apparently I have read, HP Tuners did in the past, apply a 80E segment swap to the 02 Tahoe, even though, the OS did not match. Again, I only read thsi. I have not asked them to do it, and I can not do it on my own, since there is no 80E segment on that OS readily available. I can look at my ecm and get the hdw # off of it if you want it.

Are you looking for flex fuel or going to run E85 exclusively?
01 or 02 Camaro are cable drive throttle.
You can set up any ECM for E85.
Flex fuel is a different story.

Default flex fuel

so if i have a ser. no. 12586243 and hwd. no. 12583659 from a 2004 gto, this will work for flex fuel and 3 bar or these number mean nothing and i need a 2004 chev express van flex fuel, 3 bar and it all has to be cable driven -cause most junk yard don't have enough info to give you the right one

As far as I know, GTO's do not have flex fuel capability. The only setup I know of that will do 3bar, flex fuel and cable driven is the express van setup.

As I said, "As far as I know", First time I have heard of it. I am glad to hear of it though. I am surprised as much as I am on HP Tuners forum, I have never heard of any one say anything about it. Thanks for the good info subeone!
