I've got to back up here a little bit and revisit what has happened.

Originally, when the engine first started, it started immediately and idled smooth and sounded good. This was 4 or 5 startups, 15-30 seconds at a time. Then on the 5th or 6th try it started popping out the exhaust. I shut it down immediately the first time it happened and only started it one more time just to see if it was going to pop again, and it did. So I stopped, put the exhaust on, coolant, etc...

Now, when I re-flash the PCM with the tune and reset fuel trims, shouldn't I have the same conditions as a first start? What I'm questioning is, when I re-flash and its still rough and popping, doesn't that take the tune out of the picture?

I was really surprised when it didn't start smooth and idle fine when I re-flashed that first time.

Thanks guys for trying to help me out. I appreciate everyones input. Even tho my problem didn't end up being tune related, it helped me to step thru some things to figure it out. Long story short, my bank 2 coil harness was on reversed. DOH!
