testing ECU : Factory ECU vs standalone
Basically i bought a used engine that came with wiring and ecu and was supposed to have 80k on it looked like it had more like 280k.
long story short got rid of the engine, found a better one, kept old wiring/ecu
my concern is since the seller lied about the mileage on the engine, im just assuming the ECU is dead or in bad condition as well.
Is there any way to test it or somewhere i can send it before investing too much time into it?
another question i have is IF the factory ecu is shot. is it worth getting a new one and using HPTuners with it or just going full standalone? i have no problems going standalone because its going to be a track car and will have no body controls. will be using a t56 manual transmission on twin turboed gen 3 5.3l
The internal Data Logger (1mb) is a great help.
The MAP AND BARO are board mounted.
The Eight Coil Channels AND Eight Injector Channels can be TIMED separately AND the FUEL volume (PW) can be separate for each cylinder.
There is a CAN Bus interface with Bosch Motorsport 3.0+ words.
The software is very easy to use, comes Pre-mapped, and I promise great tech support, almost 24/7.
We have had NHRA Division winners use my ECU-882C.
How much boost ?
