Default need help 4l80 to 4l70 swap

Hello everyone. I bought a 1999 LQ4 that came with a wire harness and computer that was set up for a 4l80e transmission. The transmission didnt come with the engine. I already had a rebuilt 4L70 so I bought a "special" SCPT 3000 rpm stall converter and flex plate for the LQ4 long crank.

I have an HPtuner. but I am a total newbie to it.
So now that I have rewired the wiring harness for the 4l70. Is there any tuning I need to do for the 4L70 to work with the LQ4 computer. Can I just use a bin.file for a car or truck that came with a 6.0 litre motor and a 4l60 transmission.
any help on this subject would be greatly appreciated

I guess my question is how do I control the 4l70e. Will the 4l80 tune work?
Thanks

I hate to be the barer of bad news but i dont think that 70e will work with a long crank 6.0 block.

With a regular 6.0 the 60e or 70e will bolt right up with a normal crank. Thin with a 80e u add a spacer and flat crank to install it. But with a long crank 6.0 a spacer is not needed like with a normal 6.0.

So with the longer crank would make converter to crank engagement way to tight. U could probably get around this with a special built converter.

This is a write up on how to do the 60e to 80e swap. U can use this to go 70e as well. Just pin it back like a 60e. U will also need tuning with a segment swap for it to work correctly.

I had a torque converter custom made for a 4l6x-70 to the long crank 6.0. I think they take the front of a 4l80 Torque converter and weld it onto the back of a 4l6x-70 converter.

Thank you for your help at least now I can get going in the right direction.
