Default Surging and idle

Got a LQ4 out of a 2005 Chevy 3/4 ton truck in a 65 C10. I have a stock bottom with worked heads and a FAST LSXRT 102 Intake with a Nick Williams 102 Drive by Wire TB. They truck does have spray on it. The idle air gauge jumps up and down until you take off, it surges and if you let off the gas to quick it stumbles and sometime goes dead. Under full throttle or on spray it runs out good. I do have 46lb FAST injectors, Walboro 255 pump, FAST Fuel rails. Any suggestions??

Have you had it tuned for the fast and the injectors? If the injectors aren't tuned don't run it until it is tuned or you will ruin your motor. The fast and the nick williams needs tuning for them to work correctly.

Yes in fact the guy that works at FAST is the one that tunes my truck. We are just trying to run down the problem. They want me to convert to drive by cable and see if that corrects it, but as much as I have invested in this set-up i am trying to figure it out. I am the only one in my group that runs drive by wire. Thanks for the reply also...

Stock cam?

Check for vacuum leaks, and then check fuel pressure.

If you think the DBW is causing the issue, log the APP PIDs and see if they are surging. I know there have been many people who have had surging issues with DBW and the larger TB's / FAST intakes.
