dual obd2's?

dual obd2's? was wondering if there would be an issue running two obd2 ports? basically im doing a swap and want to run a tablet for my gauges but want to tuck the bluetooth dongle thing inside the dash and have a seperate one to plug in hptuners, scanners, etc.. under my dash.
would it cause any issues say with hptuners if there was something else sharing its signal wire?

Depends on the OBD2 adapter you use.
Some high end adapters go to silent mode when not scanning but you'd need to close the logger on tablet or turn it off. Most cheap Chinese copies don't.
If your vehicle is CAN based you can have both for scanning. If it's older Gen3 PCM scanning with HPT and tablet at the same time will slow down the data rate terribly.
I advise against leaving the adapter plugged while flashing, they are not designed to share the BUS with another datalogging device, if the adapter sends requests to the ECM while flashing it can disrupt the process and brick the ECM.
Since OBD gauges don't work while flashing you may want to install a toggle switch to the 12V power on the second OBD2 port where the bluetooth adapter is. This will cut power to the adapter while flashing without unplugging it. When flash is finished toggle the switch to power the adapter and you get tablet gauges back.

Using an app like Torque Pro on your tablet will give you gauges and a scanner, making an external scanner useless.
If plugging in and using HPTuners, then you will also have a scanner and gauges, making the tablet useless.
No real need to run both at the same time.
If you really want, get a passthrough cable. Google them, you can score one fairly cheap.
