I've just purchased a 1953 Chevy Belair fitted with an LQ4 with 317 heads and a Corvette cam fitted. It has a 700r box attached and it drives lovely. My question is, it has an aftermarket PCM made by Turnkey motors (they built the engine), but I can't find out anything about this set up. There is no Maf that I see, nor lambda sensors, but the install looks pretty tidy. Car starts on the button and settles down to idle quickly, 50lbs oil pressure at idle and is very quiet. Car wasn't bought for racing, just a nice cruiser for taking grandkids out in, but I'd like to know if this set up will prove reliable long term and how is it tuned?, cheers,
You have a mefi 4 system. Popular with offload and marine racers. Very reliable as it is a Gm controller. You can tune with mefiburn or similar software. Steve
