For tuning? Diagnostics? What software are you wanting to run? That's a pretty vague question partner.

It would be a simple question if it was actually asked. We can't read your mind

Jim C- In your original question you asked about Microsoft Surface Pro. Now it's HP Pro??
Now you see why we ask all the questions about your questions?

I'm on to something I think lol.. I think he means HP tuners Pro.... not HP as in.. Hewlett Packard. Your Microsoft Surface should work with HP tuners. I believe the surface has at least one USB connection which is what you mostly need. Not very sure of its processing speed or storage capabilities, but it's a fairly new device that should handle the job. To be safe, I would compare the computers specs to HP Tuners software requirements on their site. Better yet, shoot them an email or a call to be safe.

Jim;
Yes, it'll work fine. Just plugs into the USB as another post already states. I'm using a laptop for home tuning, and a Surface Pro 3 running HP Tuners for updates and adjustments and tune uploads without any issues at all; works great at the Drag Strip being smaller to work with inside the car.
