02 Sims Not Working?

The sims should be on the rear O2s. I have been using them for over a year on my car and Z-71 with no problems. In fact even if you didn't have them on at all the car shouldn't act like your describing. A buddy of mine ran no converters and no sims for about 4 years on his 99 silverado. The only thing it did was have the SES light on all the time, but it ran fine.

On a 2000 year model F-body, I would think the memory hold-up battery should keep the PCM settings from being 'reset'. Did you really lose your tune due to a dead battery. I'm just wondering because, I have disconnected my battery leads on many ocassions and never have lost my tune.
As for O2 sims, my tuner turned the back two off. Maybe you should try that and it might help your car run right ... just a guess on my part.
