PCU Problems?

PCU Problems? i have a 1999 SS Camaro. It quit charging after a trickle charger melted and went bad. the problem is the small red wire on the Alternator has no voltage with the key on. i traced the wire to the PCU. Do you think this smoked the computer? no codes or check engine light.......
