Is this a code in the SRS or BCM? There are a lot of variables here. If I had to take a wild guess it’s a clockspring/spiral cable, but I haven’t got anything to go on. It could also be a lost bit of code in either module. There may be an upgraded software to resolve the issue, but freeze frame data and code status would be immensely help in guiding you where to check.

thank you Slow11ccz71, Im very glad to have your reply here. we ran trouble code with another scan,
and got existing B1001, B1009 Electrical erasable Programable memory checksum error; B1004 keep Alive Memory (KAM) reset; B1000 Electronic control Unit Malfunction. together with code B2470 Cellular phone antena circuit
car is equipped with on star. i did a search about this codes., and my question now is.... can be a faulty on star, hold a lock with SRS data on the ECM PCM module.. giving all the codes..? Replacing the ECM PCM module can fix this issue? .....or have to replace also the on star..? will wait for your reply, and thanks again for your help.

Ok, it looks like somehow the serial numbers in the SDM don’t match those in the DIM, that’s the criteria for setting a B1001. You’ll need a Tech2 or high end scan tool to attempt to program the correct numbers back in before trying anything else. You still may need a DIM (BCM) or SDM, but I’d certainly try to relearn the modules before haphazardly replacing things. The B2470 is, in all likelihood, unrelated.
