Holley EFI & 6L80
My apologies if this subject has already been discussed. I have been looking for answers for quite a bit and haven't found any, although that could be because of my own ignorance.
I am building a twin turbo 5.3 that was planned to be hitched to a 6L80 and was going to use the Holley EFI system. I am wanting to use Holley EFI because this set-up will be going into a 1964 C10 that will be street/strip and I really like the abilities the Holley system gives.
I have been told by Holley that the transmission controller that is built into some of the EFI systems will only control the 4L60 and 4L80. I understand that those transmissions function completely different from the 6L80 so that kind of makes sense. Does anyone know or have any experience with using a Holley EFI system in a vehicle that has a 6L80?

Yea, I do know that. I guess more of what I'm getting at is there a way to use the Holley EFI but have the 6L80 run off of a stand alone controller? or is there even anything out there that would resemble that? or is there a 6 speed transmission option that anyone would suggest that would work with this setup. I want the EFI for its much higher abilities that the GM ecu but I would also like a tranny that can get me some decent gas mileage on the hwy. I plan to turn this truck into my daily driver that just happens to make 650+ HP.

Is there a controller you would suggest? From the recent research I have done I have read that when torque management is lost the 6L80 turns to glass. I have been looking for a stand alone controller but it seems as if they all have flaws.
