Tech2Win question....I/M readiness
Question for any GM techs lurking....
Bought the Chinesium knockoff pass-thru adaptor with Tech2Win. Works beautifully on both my 2002 Z28 and my gf's 2009 Sky Redline. Only one issue....replaced the cat on the Camaro for a P0420, and while waiting for the drive cycles to run after clearing the code, figured I'd hook up the Tech2Win and check out what it says. I get a communications error when trying to run I/M status, and it thinks the ignition is turned off (mind you, everything else works). Unplug it, hook it up in the Sky......and it reads all the monitors no problem. Is there an issue with the Camaro, or does the P01 PCM simply not support that feature in Tech2Win? Thoughts?

Teching In
In my experience, the Tech 2 - Tech 2 Win applications for I/M Status have always been reliable.
I have however run into various issues with Tech 2 Win on vehicles that WOULD NOT require the CANDI module with the Tech 2....ie prior to the LAN based architecture.
Moral of the story is pre-LAN, I always rely on a Tech 2 for accurate functionality.
