2004 Chevy Colorado LS1

Why yes they are, but it wouldn/t be fair to tell all the secrets, but I will be at the Watertown car show on Sunday. If not check out the city of Sun Prairie, maybe you'll see the thing ripping up some street along with all the other road construction. Good luck and watch out for what might be what you are really looking for... the HEMI belther

1) How can you justify yanking out a brand-new warrantied engine to do that?
2) How much does doing something that crazy cost?
3) Did you get some sort of special deal on the truck, or sell the engine, or something?

Cost. Not important. It's really fun to drive!
Special deal? No. Sell the engine? Still holding on to it for a rainy day....

But I am not about to swap the engine from the red one into the yellow one!
After all, mine's got the all mighty 3.5!!!
Sweet swap man..my friends have been suggesting for me to do the same thing!

Sorry it's been so long
I'm posting on behalf of dad (did this LS1 swap). Didn't post much because we were finishing my '69 Camaro (Old School Big Block Chevy, but, who knows, maybe an LS1 could be in it's future ;-).
Converted the Brake system over to a '98 Camaro brake system (may have already posted that).
We put a Lingenfelter aluminum (sp?) intake on it.
We put a BBK Throttle Body on it.
Bought some headers for it.
Just bought some 243 heads.
Going to 1.85:1 Rockers
Last Chassis dyno pull was around 294 RWHP (before the intake and throttle body swap). We'll have to see what it does after the heads and intake swap.
One of the recent accomplishments was getting the ABS and the traction control (using the '98 Camaro PCM) to work.
Oh, and now, a 2004 GTO rear independent suspension just showed up. Thinkin' about making that fit. I'm sure I'll get a bunch of posts about this.
It's a toss up as far as which one is more fun to drive. Camaro is an icon, but, this truck is a blast to drive!
I'll try to post more frequently.
