Default MIL / Service engine light voltage

Anyone know the voltage from the PCM computer to the trouble / error / code light?

Is it going to ground in the PCM or is the volts coming out.

Reason: I'm trying to hold up a light in the dash.

I'm running an E38 PCM from an '07 LS2, and according to the tech at Current Performance where I bought my harness, the Check Engine light wire from the PCM is a switched ground.

On my 896 / 411 PCMs, the MIL light wire is supplied with keyed 12 volts positive and will illuminate the check engine light when the PCM detects a code and then provides a ground for the MIL wire.
