Default Another PNP Selector Switch Question

I know the forum is full of neutral/park switch questions but I can't seem to find the one I'm looking for. I have a 1985 S10 and am installing a 2003 5.3 Vortec and 4L60E tranny. I want to use the stock neutral safety switch but can't figure out the wiring. I want to use the neutral safety switch Park/Neutral signal wiring to let the PCM know when the vehicle is in park and neutral so there is no idle hunting or drivability issues. I read that some guys say you don't need it but why would GM use it if they didn't need it. The trans switch C2 connector terminal G circuit (GM Document #760171) on the switch is the signal wire, but the circuit numbers don't make sense to me and where the wires go don't make sense either, maybe my '85 S10 ignition switch won't work with this P/N switch. I have been looking at this diagram so long I'm dreaming about it. Any help would be appreciated.
