(Help needed)99 pcm and harness on 98 ls1 Couldn't find the answer I was looking for in existing threads so I'm really hoping someone can help me out. So, I have a complete 98 ls1/4l60e with the pcm and harness, which I will be putting into a 99 Camaro z28 roller. The roller came with the 99+ pcm and harness and all other electrical stuff, I was just wondering if the 99 pcm and harness would be plug and play with the older 98 engine, and if not how hard would it be to get it to work.

Everything should be plug and play to the LS1. Same engine, same everything pretty much except the PCM itself. The 97-98 PCM's are wired differently at the plugs. Keep the 99 PCM in it and just plug in all the sensors, etc. Should work just fine. You want to ditch that 98 PCM anyway, because it's a 512kb computer vs 1024 of P01's.

Forgot about that. Good call. He just needs to buy a new sensor. I had to change one because it got broke somehow when I put the heads back in last time. I had to order one for the 99 and up. I'm running an LS3 though, so mine is a bit different in that regard. Gen III sensors and Gen IV parts. Minor detail though.
