Silly question about a new build

Silly question about a new build I am a bit away from finishing my swap but there is something I've been thinking about. I am swapping more than just a stock engine and transmission. The car will get a tune as it has a different intake, cam, converter, etc. Do most of you get a mail order tune to drive it around the block to make sure brakes, power steering, and everything else is working before bringing it to a tuner? The tuner I plan on using is about 2 hours away so I will have to trailer the car there. I would just hate for them to start tuning and have a different issue pop up on the car. Any thoughts or ideas?

Gotcha. Unfortunately, the cost of getting tuning software would probably be about the same as a mail order tune. Either way I would have to take it to the tuner afterwards. I will check and see if it would be possible to send my PCM to the tuner and have him load a Start up tune on there.
