MSD 8913 install in fbody HELP!
Well the instructions seem like they’d be better off burnt!!Arghhhh!
2000 Camaro SS,I bought the 8913 for a shift light
im using the Summit shift light.
Here are questions I have
The red lead on the 8913 says it goes to 12v ignition,I interpret this as a key on 12 volt hot
The red green wire out the 8913 goes to a signal pick up,on the instructions it says the pink wire from harness,that’s 12 hot key on,out of the harness,the only one that triggers the test light while running is the green wire from the harness to coil pack which is what I haven’t tried yet.I found one thread where a guy picked his reference up from the ds back coil pack pink wire.Did that last night.No light.Kinda tired of random soldering around the coil packs in an fbody(I’d rather start to do my tax write offs for next year or watch The Jersey Shore reunion with my wife)It’s gotten to that point,so if anyone,especially with fbody experience with an 8913 could help me.Please help?
also I’ve seen threads about having to wire in a resistor?
I assume this device is solder and go?
Am I wrong?

Ok , so this a stupid problem and I’m stupid so no one responds(I think I get it?) Or this is a legit problem and so far 65 people don’t know what the answer is?
Tapped the green wire from the coil pack and according to the diagram it’s ign ref?
