Default Tuning VE - 0411 12202088

Hi everyone
Quick question to confirm my understanding of the details on how the logged LTFT & STFT data is applied to the VE table. So does the LTFT & STFT data at a given MAP/RPM represent a percentage of the correction needed to that cell? Would one sum the average LTFT & STFT values, determine the percentage and then add (or subtract depending on a positive or negative percent) to the existing value in that cell? I read the "VE Tuning Using Fuel Trims" document and it isn't quite clear to me if the above is correct.

Thank you!
Scott

If you are using HPT, the values do correspond to a percentage. Normally you only want to multiply by half, in order to avoid over correcting. If you are using other software, then?

Yes, I'm using PCMHammer/LS Droid/TunerPRO. I'm adapting an old Excel spreadsheet to apply the values. Good point about multiplying by half. Thank you for the response!
