Need OS Suggestions
Need OS Suggestions Hi everyone. I'm working on getting my project car started for the first time and need a compatible OS to overwrite the 2013 Silverado OS (12653674) from my donor engine/ECM. Here are the details:
The car is a 1987 Trans Am. The engine is an aluminum 5.3L LC9 from a 2013 Silverado (E38 ECM). The transmission is a CTSV/SSR Hybrid T56.
I plan to build the engine up a little more in the future, but for now, it’s a stock long block, 96mm Professional Products Intake, Siemens Deka 60lb injectors,90mm LS3/LS7 gold blade throttle body with a Corvette DBW pedal. It’s set up for a 100mm MAF and a 2-bar MAP and has twin Borg Warner EFR 7163 turbos.
I really want to keep the VVT but haven’t been able to find a compatible operating system for a manual transmission. I don’t think anyone has found a way to keep AFM with a manual so I’ve given up on that for now.
Anyone have any suggestions for making this work? I’m using EFILive.
