Initial tune suggestions after multiple changes
I'm looking for initial tuning suggestions after rebuilding a truck L76. The rebuild is not yet complete, but I'm anticipating plugging into an engine dyno in a few weeks. I'd like startup programming to be close so that break-in won't be messed up by overfuelling, etc. I don't have a anyone local to do the dyno tune, and expect it will have to be remotely tuned, if that's possible. The dyno is privately owned, and the owner is a hemi specialist - I don't expect he will be familiar with GM programming. The mods are extensive with the goal of a daily driver. Changes are as follows: VVT and AFM/DOD delete, 4" stroke crank and .030 over bore (408ci vs 364ci), compression 10.4 versus 9.7, 226/236 117+4 .553/.553 cam versus 196/208 116 .466/.478, LS9 CNC-ported heads versus L92 square port heads, LS3 intake versus truck intake, 90mm LS3 throttle body versus 87mm truck throttle body, LS9 52# injectors versus L76 30# injectors, and 1 7/8" long tube headers.
My knowledge of HP tuners is limited to plugging it in, although I figured out how to change the axle ratio ratio on the vehicle that will get the L76. I expect changes will be idle speed, initial timing advance and adjustment for the larger injectors.
I'm also looking for a torque converter stall speed recommendation. Vehicle weight will be 4,450# with driver and 1/2 fuel, 4L70e trans (I know it won't last), 4:10 torsen style rear with 30" tires.
