Clone MDI2 cannot communicate with Class 2 bus vehicle
So I bought one of those Chinese MDI 2 clones. We have 2 GM vehicles, her 2009 Saturn Sky Redline (GMLAN) and my 2002 Z28 (Class 2). Out of the box, hooked it up to the Sky and with Tech2Win it works GREAT. So I'm stoked. Other day I try it on the Camaro.......cannot communicate. Power on pin 16 (otherwise of course the MDI wouldn't have lit up), continuity from Pins 2 and 5 through the MDI cable. DLC is working because both my HPTuners and BAFX dongle work fine. "Trying" to work with the seller's support rep......don't have much faith. Anyone come across a unit that will not work on a Class 2/J1850VPW equipped vehicle??? Screenshot from Tech2Win........
