Default issues with aem 30-0300 not reading on guage or scanner

i recently bought hptuners pro to try and get some logs with wideband reading to send off for remote tuning. car is a 2001 camaro so no canbus.

ive wired up the wideband both with the prolink using the analog wires and it wouldnt read properly on the gauge or scanner, scanner numbers made no sense and the guage had an error message i think....so i installed it via a USB-to serial adapter and the gauge stays stuck at " L 1.84 " and the scanner is stuck at 99.9 with the lambda symbol next to it. it also disappears from the channels list when i try to log?

i cant belive im struggling this much just to set up a wideband, ive read hundreds of post and watched countless videos on youtube and can not figure out what im doing wrong. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Check the grounds is my guess. You have to ground the gauge and the output. Otherwise you’ll get some really whacky numbers.
