Injector dilemma Sorry, posted this question in fueling section
I have bosch 'green giant' 42# installed now but since the ecm will need tuned to run properly, my question. Will running the engine with the 42# BEFORE I get it dyno tune cause over rich or lean to where it could cause damage?. All I'm looking to do is a little driving to get the rings seated and drive to dyno shop.. maybe 20miles there.. OR should I install the stock injector to break in the motor and bring up to have tuned?

You will wash down the motor with the new injectors, fuel trims will try to do what they can but it's not going to be enough as well as fast enough and they won't do squat until it's warm. Put in the stockers until you get it to the tuners, you probably won't seriously damage anything but I'm sure your new rings will want to stay lubricated and it will accelerate wear on them, no way I would ever take a fresh motor anywhere without adjusting for new injectors. And remember to those are 42lbs at 43 PSI and you should be at 58-60 where they are 46 - 50 lb injectors almost double the smaller stock injectors in some F-bodies.

thank you for the advice! I install the oem until I get it running good. Then I'll go from their. I did read about there 42# is at 43psi. Probably best seeing where the duty % of the oem are first
