5.3 LS 4l60 TCM replacement programming Hello all,
Working on my Mom's 2006 Envoy V8, and it's throwing a U0101 Lost Comm With Trans Control.The truck is in limp mode and I haven't found any issues with the harness or connectors, so I'm thinking the module has failed.
I verified with my old Solus scanner that I can talk to the other modules, but not the TCM.
If it have to replace the TCM with one from the local parts store, do I need to have it programmed for the specific vehicle, and if so, does this have to be done by the dealership, or can something like TunerStudio be used?
Any other input or advice is welcomed and appreciated, especially if there are other troubleshooting methods I've missed.
