just want maximum engine and spirited trans shifting

if you want maximum performance I recommend purchasing hp tuners as they offer more support for your vehicle if you’d like the most performance

 

I was always happy with my DiabLew tune installed via my DiabloSport Predator until I outgrew what it could do and moved on to a custom tune done by a local shop with a dyno.

my Ford tuning guy said the same thing - but $550 + tuning remote cost for one car hurts. SCT doesn't support custom GM tuning too well.

I also used the guy who tuned several Dodges via Diablo - on the GTO, and he was quicker with a better tune. Lew is great too, just needed data logging and a few tries to get my needs

He just confirmed he can tune the older LS1 as well.
Like said above, HP Tuner gives greater range, but my experience is great street driving tunes from Johan and Lew.
