P01 Limitations

Hi All,
I am currently reviewing my build with electronics in mind. Long story short, the build is a solid rolling 440 which should spin around 8,200-8,300 rpms. Years ago when I started the build I decided to run the factory P01 ecm but it would like this is now my limitation. Has anyone ran into this problem? Has anyone successfully swapped another GM factory ecu into a 98-02 Trans Am?

I know that some people have swapped the 1Mb P59 computer.

Not worth the trouble to use another factory ECU, you wouldn't gain anything. If you wanted to upgrade then piggyback holley.
