hand held programmer question

hand held programmer question i did a swap last summer with a chevy blazer 5 speed and a L96 6.0 cammed with borla's
the computer is from a 2007 CTS-V i had it tuned and made 384 to the tires but would like to have a programmer to scan problem codes and stuff
also im not to happy with the gas pedal i saw you can get some that change to different modes,that would be cool.so would i find one for the cts i guess.
and some extra horse power would be cool too,not going to lie at all lol.
the only thing on my swap that didnt work out right and wasnt my fault is the speedo doesnt work,i have no idea how fast im going,is there a programmer that shows like a tach and maybe speedo on the screen ? i would suction cup that thing over my existing gauge in a heart beat before i get pulled over.
i saw some hud speedos that work off gps but ive never had gps and im not sure how it could be connected to a 05 blazer

This is a somewhat tricky spot. There won’t be any handheld tuner that has a preloaded tune that is going to work for your current combination. That said, something like our trinity MX monitor will display speed and lots of other information, but if your speed sensor is not sending a signal to the PCM for some reason then the monitor will not have anything to display.

hey thanks for the reply,i can never find where my posts are on here,yea im not sure what the deal is with the wiring harness i paid to have built,but i was having a parasitic battery drain and the speedo was the only thing not working,i gave up and took it to a shop they contacted the company that made the harness and they said for the mechanic to cut one wire that was between the gauges or computer and speed sensor not sure what it was,so he cut it,and the battery stopped draining but i have no speedo.so your probably right,well i know your right.i got tired of messing with it so i told them i would just try and find another solution.thanks guess i will drive around with no speedometer haha
