Need PCM Help
Need PCM Help Hi, I have been trying to get my 98 Camaro running for several months but I just keep adding parts but will rarely start. Once and a while it will start after sitting for a month and then die right away and wont restart. I finally took it to a mechanic and he say what I feared, he cant get power out of the PCM. I coundn't get spark or Injector pulse while I was tinkering around with it at times as well. I have been out of the car scene for quite some time now and was wondering if there is a plug and play PCM out there for a 98 that I can have pre tuned for my modes?

If you don't intend on working on the car or tuning it, you may want to consult with a local shop to install an ECM and tune it.
If you're content with your current setup and intend on doing the install, you could consult a forum sponsor like Frost to mail him the ECM for a mail order tune and then install it.
If I were in your shoes I'd look into a holley setup - especially if you're entertaining the idea of installing & tuning it on your own. I dove into the world of tuning when I went turbo and holley has some nice features/integrations for tuning w/ boost that the OEM PCM just doesn't offer. I'd imagine there are similar benefits in tuning N2O w/ holley vs an OEM PCM.

There is no currently available plug and play PCM to replace the 98 PCM's. I don't think that there ever will be, since there are fewer 98's on the road ever year.. You basicly have 2 choices, aftermarket, which IIRC, has no ability to run your factory gauges. For the guys that are going to say, that you can get the dash panel for aftermarket controller, does it have an odometer? If it doesn't, it will not pass inspection, in a lot of states. The other choice is upgrading to a 411, or a 6243 factory PCM, and repinning your harness
