Convert Auto E38 ecu to manual trans
I picked up a complete pullout from a 2008 Corvette auto trans. My build will use a T-56 Magnum. My initial plan was to use the Holley Terminator X Max for ECU and DBW duties. However, would really like to use AiM's new PDM-32 power distribution module and screen. Holley has not, and from what I was told by AiM tech, Holley has no plans to release the CAN bus to AiM so consequently the AiM PDM will not play nice with Holley Terminator line of ECUs. AiM does have the CAN bus for Dominator ECUs but price of Dominator with all it's added features is over kill for my N/A stock build which may get a road race cam upgrade in future.
So, wondering if it's worth running my swap with a stock e38 because AiM PDM does work with Delphi ECUs. Would it be easier to get a used manual e38 or have the auto trans ECU I currently have re-programed, assuming this is relatively easy and cheap process. I think it will need to have the anti-theft and other code removed anyway so why not have the auto ecu re-programed. Any recommendations for tuners? I have no local tuners in my area.
Thank for any help
