PO342 Cam position sensor LV
So I'm new here, I posted an intro in the correct forum. I'm unfortunately having the famed camshaft sensor low voltage code. Car starts initially runs like crap, dies after a few seconds and is hard to start ect. Only code being thrown is that P0342. I've replaced the sensor, and checked for poor connections or a break in any of the wires. Harness for sensor has 12v when grounded to the battery, as well as grounded to the harness ground. The tach didn't work at all for a while as well as the oil pressure gauge. I do know I have oil pressure for sure, so I took the intake off the other day and cleaned up the harness for the cam sensor and now the tach reads half the time I'm trying to start it after clearing the code. The car sat for about 6 or 7 months in the new Mexico dust so I'm not sure if the connector is just super dirty? The PCM was also removed and placed inside the car during the engine rebuild, so I'm not sure if the PCM harness could be super dusty and have a bad connection? Anyone ever had this issue? I can post some information about the car if needed. trying not to write a book here. Thanks in Advance
