What Does This Mean?

I emailed what once was Detroit Speedworks, the people that tuned the car I bought, to see if my pcm was locked. Here is what I received:

Mr. Adams,

I spoke with Greg and he said that the pcm is not locked, but LS1 edit cannot read the program. It can however be written over.

WTF? I know what that means, basically screwed,but what does that mean program wise I can do if I don't want to lose the entire tune? Nothing? The car was tuned with edit so I don't really understand.

You might want to call and talk to Greg. He's been very helpful to the guys on Corvette Forum.

Just call and talk to Greg. Rick is a good guy and it sounds like he was trying to contact Greg for you. He is not involved with tuning at all though. Get it from the horse's mouth.
