MAF heatsoak cause bad reading?

Default MAF heatsoak cause bad reading?

I was driving my Camaro to work this morning and got stuck in some pretty heavy traffic. I'm in the middle of trying to get my MAF curve correct, so my tune is setup to read only from the MAF. I noticed after about 25 minutes of stop-and-go, that my low rpm/idle AFR readings were suddenly in the mid 15's, as opposed to roughly around 14.7 where it had been. I'm using a card-style MAF in a TSP housing, which is made of aluminum. Is it possible that the MAF housing got hot and was sending inaccurate information to the PCM?

Yes this legit happens.

F body IAT sensor mounted way away from radiator is the fix.

The IAT is built into the MAF on mine. So it's located just at the end of the air filter housing. Don't think I could relocate it anywhere honestly. Might be time to go SD lol.

I extended the wires on mine so I could move it forward. My wife's vette has /had a 5 wire maf with integrated iat. Spliced harness and a couple feet of wire later, remote IAT.

You will have the same issue SD unless you move the sensor away from the radiator

The IAT sensor in the card maf needs different calibration numbers in the tune than the stock IAT, or the round maf IAT.

Has that been done? I’m assuming you have a stock ecu.

No it hasn't. I'm still running the stock ECU, however the data I've seen in the scanner for IAT looks pretty normal. How do I recalibrate it?

You would need hp tuners, or EFI live.
Do you have tuning software?

Yup. Hptuners. I just don't remember seeing anything in there about the iat calibration
