13 silverado ecm ?

Ok so I picked up a 13 silverado that had a fire under the hood. I replaced all the wiring under the hood and dash and found a used ecm out of a similar truck. Ecm numbers are the same. Will I have to get the ecm flashed and re-programmed? Thanks in advance! Tim

Did the original ECM get too much fire damage? But yes, the new one will at least need the same engine and transmission programmed in and VATS defeated. I'm not sure but the Body Control Module, the Transmission Control Module and the Fuel Pump Module - all if equipped - may need some kind of re-tune treatment. Somebody sharp with HP Tuners on newer vehicles than I'm familiar with can answer these questions better for you.

The original got too much damage to use.

It will be best to get it flashed with correct calibration and the VIN programmed correctly for everything to work. The VATS will keep it from running just plugging it in.
