Yes it's that easy. Set the idle you want at operating temp, and just make sure it idles high enough that it'll run cold at first start up.

I've fired it up a few times today. It was warm this afternoon and now it's cool and the idle is rock solid. It's actually better than it was before. Throttle feels more snappy too. Thanks for the tip.

I had no problem getting the IAC dialed in. Then again my 4150 I ran on my dual plane intake used a GM IAC. Fast idle is nice to have on a cold engine. The IAC also does a good job compensating for ac and alternator loads as well as power steering loads.
