Very Bad MPG after tune
The other thing I just noticed is the primary and secondary VE tables aren't the same. The secondary table has less resolution and you have to copy w/ axis the primary table after you tune it.
It's been so long since I've tuned one with two tables, I can't remember when the PCM references the second, but they are supposed to match.

I can’t view logs or tune because your hpt version is newer than mine.
The second smaller VE table is used when in SD mode. Call it the limp home table when your MAF fails.
Don't brick that ECU, they are rather hard to find.

I'm using an older BETA 4.13.308 to look at it.
So if the MAF is failed and running in SD, is it going to reference the secondary table then?
FWIW, I used the 36lb GTP data from the sticky on my car and it worked well. Had to do very little tuning coming from the stock 28.8 injectors. I did have a long extended crank after it sat and got heat soaked. I never spent the time to figure it out. I went turbo not too long after that.
OK, I started building my new tune. Starting with the current tune, I imported all of the fueling data from the GTP 36lb injector data table from the sticky except for "fuel to wall transient". I didn't see a place to plug in the fuel to wall transient... Sounds like it's a later generation feature.
Next I'm going to secure some tunes and start to explore the VE and spark tables. I checked out the hpt repository but was surprised to see that it wasn't loaded with user tune files. I'll poke around a see if I can find a tune for a setup similar to mine and go from there. I'm not in a big hurry to brick this thing or hurt the motor so I'm gonna slow walk this process, partially by necessity.

The dual VE always frustrated me. That ended after 2000. I always strive to use the 01-02 Camaro tune files for swaps etc. I prefer MAF only on those earlier OS.
Of course the OP would need to re-pin for the later pcm to do that.

That is correct. I’m on 4.8.7, sadly I don’t have any beta versions.

I'm never updating to the newer 5.0 with the emissions crap. I don't tune anything new enough to require the updated version.
I also downloaded PCMHammer, Universal Patcher and still have TunerProRT loaded on my computer. I recently discovered that you have the option to Export an XDF file for TunerPro for any operating system that Universal Patcher supports.
Depending on your cars configuration, an 0411 or P59 would be a great swap. I have more or less started using DBC P59s to run everything rather than the 0411s.
