Reflashing 00 Firebird Ls1 for E85

Reflashing 00 Firebird Ls1 for E85 Im about to do a heads/cam 102 intake/tb etc etc on my firebird and to my understanding the ecu isnt configured for e85. From what ive read people re write the ecu as like an 02 tahoe or something similar to be able to utilize e85. My question is this correct or is there another stock file i should use. Im also hoping all my current functions will work with this such as reverse lockout, cruise and whatnot.
After this work is done i need to go take it to get tuned so i figured id get a head start and transfer all my tuning data onto the 02 tahoe file so its ready to go for the tuner, ill convert to e85 at a later date. Thanks for any help i wanted clarification before i started.

You don't have to change your OS for E85, you would just change the stoich value from what it is currently to E85's stoich value.
If you want to use the flex fuel features and wire in a content sensor then you'll have to change your OS.

Yea thats what im after, i have a flex fuel sensor already I used on a previous car.
