timing advance very erratic
After finally getting a good OBDII scanner to look at things on this truck, see that the timing advance is constantly changing very rapidly at idle. The numbers changing looks like roulette wheel is changing so fast.from what i can see is 0-40 degrees variance
The gentleman that owned the Burb before me,did get a Diablosport Predator2 in his DOD delete cam kit, to do the AFM/DOD delete in the ecu,but after some research , come to find out there is no setting in the Predator2 to do an actual VVT delete which this truck did have , but now does not have with the three bolt non VVT timing gear assembly. This is all foreign to me,as have never dealt with this setup before.
Could there be anything else would be causing the timing advance to be totally funked out, even at idle. What are the differences in the actual plug, and wire combos when going from VVT cam phaser assembly to non-vvt cam phaser plug .?
