Default Fully built 5.7l iron block

Hey, so here are some of my concerns that I hope can get sorted out, please bear with me.

So this is a V6A4 to V8M6 “swap”. I built an lR4 4.8l to a 5.7l with all forged new internals minus the crank(stock 5.3 3.622”). It has worked 243 heads with .550” springs and the cam spec is of an ASA so about 228/232 .525/.525 110LSA. It’s got a FAST lsxr 102 intake with Deatschwerks 42lb injectors on the return style fuel system with external aeromotive FPR. Going to run a 340LPH fuel pump from the ws6store. ALL SENSORS ARE BRAND NEW FROM GM. The vehicle is a 2000 MY and the dash harness is stock. Bought an ls1 M6 engine harness with ECM that the guy had tuned for NITROUS. Does have speed engineering LT 1-7/8ths to 3” true duals. Have not purchased the o2 sensors yet due to uncertainty of using dual wide bands vs the factory upstream sensors and if you are supposed to run the vehicle in normal operation with the wide bands installed or just used for tuning purposes?

I am an automotive technician but so now know tuning very well, so due to the nature of being a brand new rebuilt engine the first start up needs to be right for the engine to break in the rings properly.

With ALL of that my biggest concern is the tuning of it, due to the tune already installed I don’t have a “stock” tune to revert to or have a base for.( I do have a second ECM I did purchase but ALSO has been tuned by some company many years ago with unknown tune.) I know the bigger injectors I can input the data from deatchwerks directly into HP tuners (that’s what I’ll be using) but then the MAF is a 100mm MAF sensor from HAWKS motor sports that I was told needs tuning for.

Just seeking some professional guidance for what I should do in order to not wash the cylinders or burn a piston or **** up the engine in any way possible, I don’t have to express to anyone here just how damn expensive all these parts are. Thankyou for ANY help I do greatly appreciate it.

If your going to tune it your self, Find a Stock file to start from to build your base tune.

If your going to have it tuned, Find a reputable tuner that can supply a file for you to start it up on.

Thats exactly what I was thinking however I don’t have HPT yet to navigate through the software, any ideas where I could find that file? Thanks again!
