Need someone to look at a tune file
I have LS swapped a 2000 S10 2.2L VIN 5 with a 2004 Trailblazer 5.3L LM4 motor/transmission. I swapped the Gen IV rods/ flat top pistons & 243 heads from a LS4, essentially turning into a L33 long block. I am using a 2005/2006 truck return less fuel rail & 12580681 30lbs injectors. I have an Elgin E-1839-P camshaft Int. VL.575 lift, 286 Dur. 220@.050 2BTC 38ABC 108LC Ex. VL.575 lift, 282 Dur. 224@.050 48BBC -4ATC 116LC
I have a CPW custom harness with a P59 PCM and their 2005 Silverado startup tune in it. It had 3 small issues that I was not able to resolve in that tune.
1) Battery light is on
2) Fuel gauge reads backwards
3) O2 resistance codes P0053, 54, 59 & 60.
In a conversation with 2 others from the S10 forum it was suggested that I use a more compatible tune file. 1 said that OS 12587603 was what he used in his swap.
I found that the 2004 S10 4.3L, 2004 Trailblazer/SSR 5.3L use OS12587603. So I segment swapped the V-8 engine & diagnostics into the tune file. Added my fuel injector data, made some changes to it to mimic the tune file I was currently using.
The vehicle is in the tail end of a paint job and I was not able to do anything to it for a couple of months.
It runs under the 2005 Silverado CPW tune file I uploaded
So I finally pull the plug and bought the credits to write it to my truck. I didn't think I would need to do much to the tune at all. S10 dash/S10 tune w-V8.
I used "write entire" and it would not start. I logged that start up time, it set 2 codes P0315 CPS relearn not performed & P1631 VATS control
I set the P0315 & P1631 to "no error reported" & set the VATS to "none" in HPtuners editor, under the system>general>security
I used "write calibration" for those changes and attempted to start it again. It still would not start.
I did a little research and came up empty.
Because it was just easier to do, I wrote the old tune back and it fired up & ran like before
Basically I would like a more advanced tuner to look at the file where it won't start and see if they can see a reason for it.
I would also like someone to explain how a start up tune will let a setup start & run without being able to do the crank relearn?
Is it possible that the tune file just didn't take well and is why it would not start?
