Default oil level light on

Hello all,
I had a wiring harness made by Current Wiring for my 98 Camaro but instead of having it go to a 98 PCM I had it made to go to a 2002 PCM. Since then my low oil level sensor has stayed on. (yes, I checked the oil level myself) I also replaced the oil level sensor to no avail. Also on maybe an unrelated note, maybe not. My oil pressure gauge is reading low and at idle after it's hot the check gauges light comes on.
I'm thinking that maybe a wire got swapped in the wiring harness for the oil level light and possibly the oil pump needs to be replaced. Before I do that I am going to take out the oil pressure sensor and thread in a gauge so I can truly see what the pressure is.
Any suggestions that I can try? Thank you.

This should be in PCM Diagnostics and Tuning.
It is hardly Advanced Engineering Tech...

I'm pretty sure if you went to 99+ PCM you lose the oil level sensor capability.
