Default LS1 misfire

Hi guys, so I have a 2002 LS1 transplanted into my 72 Camaro and it’s been running like a champ for 7 years. Last summer we had a lot going on and did not drive the car much at all.

in the fall I was driving the car to where I store it and it was running terrible, horrible miss to the point it would hardly run.

so this spring I got it out and pulled the map sensor to find some moisture on it, I replaced the sensor and it runs better but still has a pretty bad miss in the low end.

it was originally throwing a map code but is no longer showing any codes. If I run it at wot it will miss till it hits about 1800 rpm’s , then it cleans up and runs fine.

I pulled the plugs for inspection, they look a little fouled but no smoking gun here..

has anyone dealt with a similar issue?

any help would be appreciated!!!

tia,
Scott

Maybe some moisture in the fuel? Try running some Berrymans through the tank and see if it maybe cleans the injectors.

What cylinders are misfiring?

You might just be getting a P0300 DTC, but you can look at the misfire counter and see also.

You use a temp gun and check to see which header tubes are colder than the others.
