HPPIII Qs I am thinking of getting a programmer. I want to get a used one to save $$$. Do the HPPIIIs need to be sent back to the manufacturer after they have been used to be unlocked like the Diablosport Predator, or can I buy one that was flashed back to stock and be OK?

the HPP3 doesn't need to be sent in to be unlocked... the last person to use it has to restore their car to 100% stock with the HPP3 then it'll work on another car of that year....
Only time I've heard of problems and having to send them back to the factory is if your car's computer operating system is an unsupported (newer than when the hpp3 was made) version.
fi you have a 6 speed it's only good as a gear/tire/fan/rev limiter modifier really .. if an auto you can also modify your shift points and line pressure as well... the HPP3 tuning itself is hit or miss.. but more often miss....
Just make sure you really need the HPP3 before getting it...
