Default picking a standalone

Hello everyone.

I have couple questions about stand alone ecms. I was going to go into detail but I really only need one question answered and then everyone's opinions on what stand alone to use.

1. On a terminator x max. If I buy the kit that does dbw could I run it dbc at first and then move to dbw after awhile.

Then opinions on which is better. holley terminator x max or link ecu g4x xtremex ls set up. They both seem to do everything I want but link does cruise also. I'm not familiar with either since I mostly have done either stock ecu with hp tuners or megasquirt.

I can't answer your question directly but I will direct you to look at the boomslang harness to use a terminator x in a 5th gen. It does exactly what your asking about. It's 1400 bucks but it only needs the terminator x and power harness instead of the complete kit so that offsets alot of the cost.

I checked they make a harness to put the g4x in a 5th gen too. I'd personally go terminator x and the extra i/o module for 1100 instead of 1750 for the link g4x. Lots more guys out there tune holley then link. Just my 2 cents though.
