Segment swap to 4L80

Segment swap to 4L80 P59 DBW, return fuel in 2003 Suburban.
Just bolted up 4L80, and plan 2 Bar SD.
Should I segment swap the 4L80 FIRST ?
Or do the 2 Bar SD AND 4L80 same time ?
Any tips, warnings, pointers or advice for my first segment swap with HPTuners ?

All else equal, I would personally do the segment swap first, but it can be done after the 2barsd with no ill effects that I have ever heard of. Whatever you do, absolutely DO NOT make any other changes at the same time as converting to 2bar or any other custom OS. The custom os needs to be the sole change on that particular write. If anything goes wrong and you have made multiple changes, you will have no idea which part of what you did caused it.
Can you just use the PCM of NC harness? No segment swap necessary. You'll only have to adjust shift points and gearing in the tune. Biggest advantage here is that it locks the converter like a 4l60 would instead if a 4l80. It's the best imo
Sure you can use it, but then you lose slip diagnostics from having the ISS on a 4L80 in this application. As far as locking the converter like a 4L60 vs a 4L80, I'm not sure what you are referring to since we have control over the converter in either application.

Segment swap was silly easy with HPTuner.
Just input appropriate 4L80 OP system into compare file, hit "segment swap" option. VERY easy.

. As to WIRING differences/modfication; I found a really good write-up/ explanation at Performancetrucks by 03Sierra, with some great pinout information.
